Pioneer Plasma not able to display DC ?

Post by mmass23 »

Hi!

Just rently got hold of a quite mint DC, hooked it up to my Pioneer 42" Plasma via Scart, and got a very dark, almost black image (I'm able to see tiny bits of something on the screen), it also played sound etc.

Wondered if it was broken, but took it with me to my parents place where they have a Panasonic Plasma screen - and the display looked just fine (a bit off center, but I guess this could be adjusted on the tv or something)....

Is there anything special about the RGB signal the DC puts out compared to other machines ? (I also tried composite but didn't get that working)........

The Pioneer seem to be happy to display pretty much everything else I'v thrown at it, C64, Amiga etc......

Just asking out of curiosity as I have a VGA adapter on the way and will be using that one eventually with the DC......and if someone know if it's a possible setting/adjustment on the Pioneer feel free to enlighten me....:)
