Games are looping at the start, help!

So I just got a Dreamcast yesterday... I know i'm only like 12 years late to the party, but none the less. My Dreamcast is a 1999 version.

I got a couple images from DCISOZone and burned them, put them in and it just returned to the menu all the time. So i poked around a bit and found SelfBoot, ExoBoot, Eazyboot, stuff like that. So I'm starting with Legacy of Kain, I mounted it with daemontools, extracted all the files to a folder, checked the IP.bin with IpBinWriter, everything seemed ok there, made it back into a CDI image with SelfBoot, burned it with DiscJuggler with RAW turned on, Overburn turned on (its small enough it doesnt need overburn though), Mode2 (also tried in Mode1 but it didnt help) and at 8x.

The game will start to load, get to the Dreamcast logo, then get to the Sega logo, then restart and go back to the Dreamcast logo, then Sega logo, and repeat over and over again.

Whats going on here? I've made a ton of coasters and I dont feel like ruining any more CD's. I tried with Utopia 1.3, thinking maybe it wasnt selfbooting, and it gets to the main screen of that, I put the disc in and nothing happens at all.

this "restart" after the sega logo, does the screen go black sudently, does the console stop working for a second?
I ask this so i can exclude the reset problem that affects the dreamcast sometimes.
When demanding for more power (to read the cd) the console may go down and restart.

However, i still believe there is a reading problem of somesort.
Can you try getting chankast emulator and test the games on your computer drive to see if they boot up?
Also, i use alcohol 120%, can you try burning a game using that program (recording assistant > select iso > burn)

thanks for the reply. i tried copying some without running it through selfboot and they worked, most of them did anyway. also i used imgburn with cdi plugin to burn and that seemed to help as well. i wasnt sure if the games were selfboot so i tried to make them selfboot but that broke it somehow, all fixed now though, thx for the reply.
