If you are expecting an instant ready-to-go instant solution, complete dreampi kits have been selling on ebay for over US$100, pricing them just shy of the cost of the BBA. The only alternative to save money is to assemble your own kit.
Raspberry Pi are now available as COVID-era scalping has ended. Line-voltage-inducer can be soldered using inexpensive components... or better installed within the modem. The modems are the tricky part now and will continue to become scarce.
Dreamcast online play is a pretty popular topic, but when it comes down the technical nitty gritty of network functionality everyone seems to lose interest.
