Unable to get modem to light up

Post by Chiihira »

Hello! So I’ve been trying for two days now to get online using the wifi raspberry pi kit on my dreamcast. Twice it’s been able to connect for a total of about a minute in time and then the modem shuts off. I’ve gone through all the suggested options on the troubleshooting page and to no avail. For a bit I thought it was my Ip address since on my router’s page my raspberry pi’s IP ended there on a 98 but did the rewrite on that twice and still nothing. Anybody able to possibly assist me?

Are you saying you're getting no lights at all on the modem or just one light?

It goes back and forth between one light and no lights. The the moment it’s no light.

It goes back and both between none and one. At the moment it’s none. I know it’s connecting to my wifi too by checking my wifi router’s client list.

Hmmm, that's not good. Assuming you have a Dell brand modem which is what is normally included with NTSC kits, under no normal circumstances will you get no lights (aside from when you first power on the Pi). It sounds like there's a problem with it. Send me an email and I'll get it sorted for you.
