Will SEGA make a new console off of thier next arcade board?

I think it would be good for sega and apple to team up. They both failed with their consoles. Plus apple has the money, power, and brand name. And sega has the innovation. Perfect match. They could crush microsoft and sony. But I doubt it will happen but there were people talking about it happening..

It wouldn't surprise me if SEGA's new SEGADRIVE arcade board is fitted with Caustic Graphics techology. Because SEGA's Amusument R&D department is top secret. Nobody has a single clue what's going on that department, its kept under wraps.

It would also be intersting if SEGA contracted Apple as an OEM for thier suppossed next console SEGA Neptunia, also it would mean that the new console would be powered with an Mac iOS as its GUI/OS.

Which means it would have no problems..Would run smooth and most likely the vmu would be a ipod touch type of thing that would be touch screen..Apple fans would buy it just b/c it had apple on it. Plus Apple sells globally perfectly. While sega sells well in asia. They would really dominate the market. Since microsoft only has the US and sony has asia. They would be dumb not to join up. They could make millions together.

In regaurds to Mircosoft Japan, I do predict and see them shutting down once SEGA returns to the hardware business. Its a matter of necessity.

In case your wondering, all current Imagination Tech /SEGA licensing deals are defected through NEC Corporation who's responsible for all PowerVR series chips. Also what makes stu's report irrelavant as well is that Imagination Tech now runs all of its non mobile tech OEM licensing deals through its new subsary "Caustic Graphics,Inc."

So yes, SEGA could definetly still be licensing techology with IM, just no longer under thier old division "Imagination Tech".

Apple has NO plans to get into the console business, though they are rumored to be working on a new mobile gaming handheld and may convert Apple TV into gaming software APPs.
Also the source claims that the deal is for Apple's next iOS and I-pad 3 and I-phone successor, those aren't even due out at least until 2014.

Apple did have a one time at all console, and it was a failed venture with Bandai in 1996 called "Pippin".

In other words, no actual electronic manufacturer or game company is listed as a licensor for OEM Caustic RTUs at least not at the moment.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I would imagine over 250 dollars though.
