Well I just downloaded a copy of VOOT and I had the same results. I Just wanted to test my npclient dreamcast loader. Works for the connecting part but I don't have a second dc to test a game. I can also confirm that I could set up a game with the LAN adapter as well as the BBA! It just worked and said connected! Now I have to get a second Dreamcast to try out a game lol

Awesome (so far)! If you need any help, I own a NTSC-U copy of this game and a BBA too.

Here is a bootable Dreamcast image of the DEBUG.bin I just made, hope it helps speed things up :)
Thanks for making the boot image drez! I would be up for trying to get a connection going with somebody via the internet. I am really interested to see how well the software really works. Also, nice to know that it's working with the LAN adapter as well.

I am definitely not qualified to answer this question but that would be amazing. The source code for the program is still online so somebody who is skilled at programming maybe able to do something with it.

As soon as you guys verify this works, VOOT will be my next DC purchase (besides a mouse....or other stuff i find cheap). Maybe you guys can setup a time to test this?

I posted this on assemblergames for more exposure to people with the proper equipment and desire to experiment. http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/sh ... is-program

Awesome find, I hadn't heard of this until your post. But looking over at Dark's post on assembler, DC tm said he has tested it and wrote a specific application for internet use and it still wouldn't work. But id' say it's still worth a play around with.

I will not be home for a few days to test, but I am excited to try!

I think I found DreamcastTM's post on OC from a while ago. I don't know if they tried the updated dreamcast 2003 DEBUG software or not.

@dark thank you for posting this on assembler, definitely good info from those guys. I thought WAN connectivity might be pretty buggy but I too wonder what version they were using and also how long ago they experimented with it?

The post on OC was from over 8 yrs ago and internet connectivity has come a loooong way since then. I think i had a ~3mbs connection back then and now I've got a ~70mbs connection. So as long as LAN connection works halfway decent the WAN connection may not be so bad now.
