So, I've heard that Metropolis Street Racer was initially very buggy when released in PAL regions, but they later released another version that fixed that. Is there any way to tell the difference between the glitchy release and the later patched release? Is the packaging changed in any noticeable way? Or am I better off just tracking down a US copy of the game instead?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Question regarding MSR bugs
Packaging is the same between 3 versions of MSR.
You can recognize version with ring code on back of your GD-Rom :
MK-51022-0146SS ... => first release
MK-51022-0146SA ... => second one
MK-51022-0146SB ... => final one

Re: Question regarding MSR bugs
If you're buying one off ebay and can't see the ring code, I have noticed the original release seems to have the case with the black dreamcast lettering on the left of the cover and the newer versions (the ones there are heaps of sealed) has the blue plastic dreamcast lettering.
I'm not sure there is a way to tell between the three releases though apart from the ring codes.
Safer bet would be to buy a US version if you're buying blind. If in a store check the codes like executter suggested.
Either way this game is dirt cheap and well worth a purchase

Re: Question regarding MSR bugs
Thanks for the help! I'll import to be on the safe side, as there aren't any stores nearby that sell Dreamcast games, so there's no easy way to check the code.

Re: Question regarding MSR bugs
Some time ago I've read that the fixed print had a slightly different disc print, don't remember if it was the color or some text, but yeah, going for the ring codes is always safer.
