Sadly, I lost a great auction with a console, controllers etc and a vga cable
=(
Now I am only seeing $60 and up VGA cables online, can someone recommend a decent priced well made one they have? Or a website to order from?
I also am in the market for an AUX cable for the VGA to my TV but wanted to know if the thickness of the AUX cable really makes a diff in terms of quality, or if a 99 cent ebay one will suffice?
Thank you in advance friends!
In need of a nice VGA adapter, can I get a reccomendation?

there's really no easy/cheap site to get them now. I got mine in a big giant lot and i feel like that's really yr best bet at this point. Buying them seperate (online anyway, ebay etc) is gonna be pricey. If you can find a lot with other shit you want (or maybe shit to flip to recoup some of the cost) it's probably going to be your best option. That or someone cool here or another forum sells it privately to you below eBay costs.

Re: In need of a nice VGA adapter, can I get a reccomendatio
Hi All,
I don't recommend buying from this supplier, because these cables are bad copies of mine ("box less" VGA cables) you can have from here or other of forums.
http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/communit ... 7af1c4652e
in fact, this china supplier tried to make "box less" VGA cables but without putting the mandatory components into the connectors (capacitors inside the VGA connector and the synchro buffer chip inside the DC plug, as I did) -> that's why these cables encounter numerous compatibilities issues with some TVs or monitors...
Moreover, no shielded cable is used on these cables, what produces "ghosty" vertical lines on the screen, especially visible on bright background images.
So please let me warn you against these poor quality cables....
thank you for reading me,
Sincerely,

in fact, this china supplier tried to make "box less" VGA cables by putting components into the connectors (capacitors inside the VGA connector, as I did), but did NOT put the synchro buffer chip inside the DC plug -> they wired direct connection from DC's AV port instead. But doing so, you get 3V levels from synchros while 5V is needed -> that's why these cables encounter more numerous compatibilities issues with some TVs or monitors

Are the retro-bit vga boxes no longer available? I have one, it works perfectly well with a monitor, but it has some off-centering issues if i route it into a TV. So i would recommend it as long as you're using a monitor. Anyone with experience using other vga boxes: have you also had off-centering image problems? I'd be curious to hear if its a universal problem.

both of my tv's have adjustments for thhe vga inputs though so IF it would work i could adjust it.
