Worth Buying Neo Geo CDZ?

Post by radtastic89 »

Hey guys I found this used Neo Geo CDZ on Ebay for $100USD. The problem is that its AS IS so it does not come with any chords or controller. Also the seller says its broken. Now I messaged him to see if he at least turned on the system to see if it power ups. So would the system be worth buying if its as simple as buying the chords?

I've heard the CD-Z had some serious overheating issues. If you buy one, make sure you have the means to prevent this, ie. a grated surface upon which to place it while you play.

Well the guy did test it out but he wont tell me what he thinks is wrong with. So I don't think it will be worth my time or money to try to get it working.

Alec - all my video game systems are in the basement so its nice and cold down here and well ventilated

I've heard that when these units overheat, the circuitry is damaged. If that's the case, I can see why he won't tell you. Don't buy it. It's not worth buying if the seller's got something to hide about it.
