Black controller extensions

Post by nnorton44 »

Do black controller extensions exist? I have plenty of grey, any way to make a black one from a sports controller?

Sadly, i've never seen one from any accessory maker. A shame really. Would be nice if someone did at the time.

If you wanted to make one, you'd have to splice one. The problem then becomes finding a female connector and getting it to fit in a standard controller plug. You'd have to ruin 2 Sports controllers and a Dreamcast to do that though, so I wouldn't recommend it. Not worth it. You'd probably have an ugly looking turnout too. Maybe you could just paint a gray cable.

If you do decide to paint/spray one then something like this could be your best bet:

I was thinking of using the cord from the sports controller and the grey female plug from an controller extension I already have.

It wouldnt ruin the controller or anything because the cord unplugs from the circuit board.

Any chance you remember who made them? All the ones I find are grey made by retrobit.
