Lol, I feel the same way, but I do have hope.

As for the messenger problems, no sadly they are not fixed just yet.

update:
Hey Mike, All is great actually! I need to start updating my sites more often, but here's the scoop! I've been working in turning RETICON into an actual full-blown studio! with a location. The paperwork is done and the floor plans are getting done as well! It's very exciting! The Ionicon engine is still improving, the memory leak is fixed, now I'm working on optimizing the engine even more so that we can cram even more stuff on screen! And not only that but TAHI now is going to be a multi-platform release (with Dreamcast being the first release) so it will also be available on iPad and Android in the end as well since the Ionicon engine is now cross-platform
We are SEGA generation.

That sounds great.Seems they are aiming big. This probably means it will take even longer to (hopefully) release.Wouldnt mind checking this out on my phone sometime in the future.

P.S. Also during these months of putting the Ionicon Engine together, we've developed a process (through trial and failure) of developing on the Dreamcast that is quick, nearly painless and stream-lined, so that anybody who is a hobbyist may be able to program on the Dreamcast without even needing a coder's cable, or interfacing with linux or cygwin! We'll have more on that as the time comes.

...We've created a new way to code for the Dreamcast and an easier way to make 3D games for it!
I want to know more about this.

Ooh thats great.Thats one of the things stopping the 3d stuff on the dreamcast.Alot of people say its pretty hard and barebone.I personally wouldnt be able to do anything with it.Barely got through half a book till pointers and arrays did my head in.Programming seems to be problem solving more-a-less, and I suck at that.

I agree it's an interesting piece of news. It does seem like Reticon have made an advancement in 3d programming for the Dreamcast and surely it will have wide implications for the DC coders in general out there.

Well, with them releasing mod tools for the DC, I can only imagine the games that will come out of this!

I am dreaming of a Skyrim-esque game!

yea... lets not get our hopes QUITE that high yet lol. I remember when everyone thought there was going to be a GTA 3 port to DC, the DC has a habit of being the source for a lot of dodgy rumours :(
