Alrighty, so I just got myself a Dreamcast and I've been playing a few games, my vmu are on the way and I've just finished a quick session of Quake 3 over dialup. I'm up to play PSO and Quake 3 a fair bit at all kinds of random hours Aussie/Euro/American... insomnia + leave for the win.
Anyway, I'm just wondering how I should get started... I'm not sure whether or not my being in Australia will affect my ability to play online.
I have a dreamcast, I have a modem and 100cdrs... What next?

Probably will because of higher latency.OZDCGamer wrote:Anyway, I'm just wondering how I should get started... I'm not sure whether or not my being in Australia will affect my ability to play online.

I'm from Australia and the only game I have ever played online with dial-up was PSO back when the official Dream-Arena servers were running, however I never had any problems with it, it worked very smoothly.OZDCGamer wrote:Anyway, I'm just wondering how I should get started... I currently play Quake online a little bit, but thats using a BBA, so if you have some extra cash I'd recommend getting one of those, and again, never had any problems or noticeable difference in gameplay when playing from down under.
