And a new Shinobi game. Looks like Sega isn't slowing down that third party publishing at all.

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS CONFIRMED!!!!!
generations on the 3ds seemed obvious for me...
Yet the shinobi game is being developed by gryptonite games?
I hope it doesnt suck and sega/sonic team co develops with them for better quality, scince i dont see this developer making any critically aclaimed games...

According to FGNOnline Sega shall continue as a publisher for portables, even after the debut of their next system.comradesnarky wrote:And a new Shinobi game. Looks like Sega isn't slowing down that third party publishing at all.

Re: Sonic Generations 3DS CONFIRMED!!!!!
i doubt that a company like Nintendo would sit by and watch a competitor make games for them at the same time that they are competing in the home console market. this has got to be the silliest thing i read in here in a long time.Lindbergh wrote:According to FGNOnline Sega shall continue as a publisher for portables, even after the debut of their next system.comradesnarky wrote:And a new Shinobi game. Re: Sonic Generations 3DS CONFIRMED!!!!!
I wouldnt imagine so either. Evry sale their competitor made on their hardware could be used to fuel the competing console...maybe that would be fine if they published for android and ios but not on a competitor's hardware. Console and portables make up a lot of nintendo's income.

I've been saying myself since last summer, that SEGASammy will leave the multiplatform market in 2012. They will only focus on 3rd party mobile, digital, social networking titles and DLC.Gary_b wrote:i doubt that a company like Nintendo would sit by and watch a competitor make games for them at the same time that they are competing in the home console market. this has got to be the silliest thing i read in here in a long time.Lindbergh wrote:According to FGNOnline Sega shall continue as a publisher for portables, even after the debut of their next system.comradesnarky wrote:And a new Shinobi game. Re: Sonic Generations 3DS CONFIRMED!!!!!
This is one of the more reasonable things Morris has claimed. It happens. Rare made games for the GBA and DS that were published by THQ. Microsoft owns Rare. Bungie made a prototype of Halo for the DS. It didn't go any further than that, but Microsoft allowed those first parties to develop for DS.Gary_b wrote: i doubt that a company like Nintendo would sit by and watch a competitor make games for them at the same time that they are competing in the home console market. this has got to be the silliest thing i read in here in a long time.
If that's what they're doing, why would they line up so many titles for physical media? I'm pretty sure they've got more games planned this year than the last two years combined. Kind of a stupid business move if that's genuinely what they are doing. "Hey guys, we're going to stop doing physical media in 2012, so here's a veritable boatload of physical media games!"MrSega wrote: I've been saying myself since last summer, that SEGASammy will leave the multiplatform market in 2012. Sega will announce support for Cafe at E3.
