I just love it how lately the 3 of you can't seem to talk about any brand of hardware without starting to agrue among yourselves

Thats basically because its obvious that stu and comarade jobs here are to dispute pretty much everything I post.

Anyways, Sony says the credit card data was encrypted and in a separate data set.

They're still unsure if the credit card data was taken, but, a separate data set gives people some hope. It would be really crappy for all those people if all their information was out there. At the same time, even if that info is encrypted, if they could somehow manage to decrypt it, the tables would definitely have data linking the appropriate card numbers to the user information, or else it would be entirely pointless to keep that database of card numbers.

lol its faux news anyway I personally hope this doesnt stunt sony's console bizz too much. Whether u like em or not the less competition there is the less innovation there is. Everyone has their preferences but u wouldnt have the console u have today if it wasnt for sony and the playstation brand...unless ur jus plain bitter and gave up gaming when sega left...if thats the case ur closed mind is robbing u of the experiences of today's consoles. Yeah I bag on the 360 but they do have some stellar titles...I bag on the wii bcuz its underpowered but at least I tried it b4 I completely wrote it off. The point is as much as some of u h8 sony or some of us h8 ms or nintendo thei existence has caused the competition that got us the consoles we prefer today so try something b4 u bag on it...U never know u might end up eating ur words...I'm still a lil sore that sonic colors was wii only and it was apparently good but not so much since sonic generations will be skippping the wii this go around and I'll have a shot at it.

actually, sony or not, I would still have had the console I have today: the dreamcast. and I'm not bitter, this gen just doesn't give me a feeling of innovation so I simply didn't get on the train (we have a wii for my 7 year old girl, but I never play it unless she asks me to)

How much more innovation can there be beside massive in console storage? We got motion control, movie streaming, hd...the next step is vr I guess lol idk I jus dont see ur logic but to each his own. I still have my dc...unfortunately a lot of my games "got up and walked away"

Like I've been saying despite the fact that Comarade and stu have tried again and again to discredit me, Sony won't be in the hardware business much longer, there will likely be NO Playstation 4 since its obviously not even in development at all and thier SCEI division is already on the verge of going bankrupt.

If the fallout from this amount of stolen personal data results in lawsuits against Sony, then expect them to file for Chapter 9 within less then a year.

Yeah, I agree.
The ps4 was cancelled / on hold for a while now, and there is no plans for them to get back into it, at least for right now. After this I don't think Sony will have anything left.

In the second post of the thread I explained to you that Sony wouldn't even be filing for any chapter bankruptcy because they're not an American company.

Do you know what Chapter 9 bankruptcy is? Chapter 9 bankruptcy is for municipalities. Not companies.

Bankruptcy proceedings don't close a company immediately; they allow the company to restructure and downsize.

For the... I dunno, 10th time? SCEI would not file bankruptcy. They would never file bankruptcy. They are a division of Sony. A division cannot go bankrupt. They're directly under the parent company of Sony. Sony is a conglomeration, yes, but SCEI is directly under Sony. For Sony to declare bankruptcy... basically all of the companies they own would have to fail to be profitable.

If you want to be a business analyst, go get a business degree.

Stop bringing stu and I into this.
