I love it too! Dude, 2 words: Organized mahem...

Man, love your setup. I used to have that same 3D0, I traded a black sports edition Dreamcast for it in 2002! I didn't get ripped off, I got like 60+ games for it, and it is an underated system even moreso than the Dreamcast I think!

Thanks!

Yeah.. 'Mayhem' is a good word for it!

3DO is definitely underrated. Few people I've shown it to in real life know what it is, and even fewer have ever seen one before. I love how it has all the standard AV (even S-Video!) connections right on the back. No need for proprietary cables. It's got a bunch of great games. Good system for old school DOS PC ports. Wolfenstien looks, plays, and sounds fantastic for example.

It is a little more cluttered in here than usual. Those boxes and all the CD/DVD spools usually aren't there. They've got some old VHS tapes in them I've been selectively digitizing recently. The VCR is hidden behind the double doors in the entertainment center with all the power distribution and the networking stuff. No one wants to see a VCR...

I still have the exact same 3do. Still love playing starfighter on it occasionally which is a favourite game of mine. Hated doom on it though. Rubbish conversion. I remember being on a forum with the guy who wrote the 3do version. He was called burger or something like that. He claimed the wrong version went gold.

Wing Commander 3 was the game on it that really blew my socks off at the time. Now that I'm thinking about it I fancy putting it on again to play through as i'm sure I would of forgotten the story by now.

Lastly Need for Speed. That was a truly incredible game for its day. Amazing graphics.

I don't think people realised how powerful the 3DO was. You only have to compare starfighter on 3do, psx and saturn to see the 3do has some power!

Mine's not as cool or as big as some of the other setups here, but my Dreamcast takes pride of place in the centre of the unit in my Living Room.
