Archived Online Dreamcast Gameplay from 1998 - 2001!

I found some footage of some online Japanese Dreamcast games on the Japanese video sharing site, Nico Video, back in 2017. I cleaned them up a tiny bit (a bit of sharpening and deinterlacing) and reuploaded it to YouTube. I didn't think online gameplay of these games existed until now! Very cool to see!

Wow! Now that is a really cool find.
And in the vid, the player changes camera views while playing online too. Some people would have said, that would be impossible to do on the dreamcast. But I'm glad the player did it in the vid.

Strangely enough, Maximillian Dood in one of his vids and others, have said that in the dreamcast era, online on the dreamcast was slow, and not good at all. Someone needs to show him and others this vid pronto.

Great find. I preferred the Saturn version over the DC - don't think the handling is as good but that looked like a lot of fun online.

Found some footage of Sega Tetris as well! Added it to the first post. Changed the title of the post as well since I keep finding videos of more games other than Sega Rally 2. The Sega Tetris footage is apparently from an annual tournament that Sega held for the game.
