Hi all!
I just got my DreamPi hooked up and I’m using the Ives PSOv2 EP CDI image via GDEmu. I have managed to connect to the only ISP that was showing up taking me to the lounge area. I have some burning questions though:
1. There were only four ships available. Is this normal?
2. Vega ship looks to be the only decentone for Dreamcast users or am I wrong? Is this what all DC players are using?
3. I created a team of my own but what happens now? Do I auto join upon registration and have to wait for players to join with me? How does this work exactly?
4. If I want to join someone team, how do I find out what difficulty they are playing on?
Any other info for a first timer stepping foot into the lounge is much much appreciated! Of course any input from Aleron would be fantastic!!! Hint hint!!
Thanks!

Re: Burning PSO first timer questions!
1. Yes
2. Altimira seems to be the most popular one, but differences between each ship are mostly minor
3. When you create a team, it automatically sends you into it. Others can join whenever they want as long as you're not doing a quest (free runs are ok)
4. It says the difficulty next to the team name

Re: Burning PSO first timer questions!
Hi all,
I also just set up my DreamPi and got online into the PSOv2 lobby. I changed ship and my character has changed to a LV 200 hunter and I'm banned from the servers. No idea what happened. I literally just got online for the first time in 20 years and my new lv31 character is gone. All my items in menu are the same.... Anyone help or advise?

I had this happen to me mate when I went into the Altimira ship. I got my character wiped and replaced with a hacked one. I think it’s because this ship isn’t for us DC players, use Vega.Slaytah wrote:Hi all,

No, the fat HUmar thing is a bug in the DC version. You probably need to set your MTU to 1400, or it will keep happening. DC is supported on all ships.

Any chance of an in depth rundown on how we change the MTU at all?Aleron Ives wrote:No, the fat HUmar thing is a bug in the DC version. You probably need to set your MTU to 1400, or it will keep happening. DC is supported on all ships.

Re: Burning PSO first timer questions!
It's a setting in your home router, not PSO or your DC. You will need to log into your router and find the setting for MTU.
The setting shouldn't be too hard to find on any modern router.

Re: Burning PSO first timer questions!
Yeah the first ship I selected was Vega. I then jumped ship and appeared in the lobby as a new character! Hopefully I'll get it sorted but I'll stick to Vega from now on. Obviously I'm a complete newb to these servers. Just want to know if it's something I've done wrong my end?DreamState wrote: I had this happen to me mate when I went into the Altimira ship. I have 2 DC. My original PAL with legit games all boxed up in the loft and a spare PAL I bought recently to mod to the 'Ultimate' DC. I'm using a MODE with a US version of PSOv2 with serial key/code from the internet. I had a feeling that's what's bugging/hacking my character when going online??
I'm new to these forums and servers and I don't want to break any rules. If that's the case I'd rather start again from scratch and be as legit as possible.
Thanks for your reply

Re: Burning PSO first timer questions!
Nothing to do with what ship you go to. Its just the fact you are using modern broadband on a console from 1999. Once you change your MTU in your router settings this will never happen again. All ships support DC on this server.Slaytah wrote:Yeah the first ship I selected was Vega. I then jumped ship and appeared in the lobby as a new character!
