Any Console In General

Out of curiosity...what do you guys think of all
the newer consoles compared to the Dreamcast?

I feel a lot of consoles used the technology Dreamcast pioneered. Look at orginal xbox .

The experience I recieved from playing Dreamcast was more emotional and surperior to any other console gaming experience i've had.


I enjoy DC more than all the new consoles.

That is exactly how I feel! Plus, like the title
claims on the original black box case, Dc is
the ULTIMATE SYSTEM, besides, they had some of the
best game titles. You couldn't beat their console or games.
The DC is just too good for anything else on the Earth,
and that is a point well proven in a video on youtube
called DC vs PS2 funny facoff. The DC has had enough!

Yea me and my friend noticed that the DC controller and the Xbox controller had the same layout the only difference is that the xbox controller has more buttons and stuff. But by far my fav is definately the DC.

DC will ALWAYS be my fav system! Plus, guess what,
here's a schocker, if you go on google and look
up Xbox 2, Dreamcast pops up! The Xbox is basically
a ripped off modified DC. If you compare it's
shelter with the way they first modeled the DC,
there are a lot of similarities. Also, the controller,
like Impulse stated, is practiacally the same. I guess
they couldn't come up with anything better because they
know how superior the Dreamcast really is.

And..the type of games are not too much different, most of the games they have,
the DC prob would have got if it was stillgetting new games. Oh well. And like I said, if you go on google and type in Xbox2, stuff about the Dreamcast shows up...

I could never find another system that had the same quality of games
Xbox had halo
and then JSRF (which I bought because of JGR)
and of course PSO (with voice chat = awsome)
other than that I didnt really find another game that i truly enjoyed
Of course PSX had the emotional FFs
which are great of course
and Vagrant Story

But DC was so much better than PSX just because of how much more I felt because of the improved graphics

some of what you guys are saying about the Xbox being like the Dreamcast is spot on. you have to keep in mind a few things though. first off the DC used windows CE. so Microsoft was apart of the DC all along in that respect. another interesting thing is Bernie Stoler was either fired from SOA or he left the day before launch day. i think he then went to work for Microsoft. and one more small thing. i read some place on the net that halo was going to come to DC and maybe other consoles before Microsoft bought Bungie.

so seeing some of the Dreamcast in the Xbox should be expected imo

Yeah I thought about that too. I did hear rumors about halo would have been released for DC also. That would have been great but i'm sure the game would have turned out a little different.
