Multi-Player Controller Issue

Having some difficulty resolving a problem with my DC controllers, and am posting here in hope that someone may be able to offer a solution.

The problem essentially is that the console does not recognise controllers in any port other than 1. I recently purchased 2 of the official DC arcade sticks for MP fighting games and such, but I can only play single player owing to this problem.

I have 3 controllers (one pad and two arcade sticks) and all 3 work normally in port 1. Nothing in ports 2, 3 or 4. In researching this, I have learnt of the controller PCB fuse fix, but this only seems to be appropriate when all the ports are not functioning.

Mine is a PAL region console, if that makes any difference.

Any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated!

Cheers.

As mentioned, I have read on the controller PCB fuse fix, but would a blown fuse not render all controller ports inoperable?

Port 1 works, the remaining do not.

Its possible the ribbon cable connecting the controller board to the mobo jiggled loose somehow. Thats really the only thing i can think of that would explain only one working controlelr port.

The repair kit to fix a broken fuse is $6 on ebay if that doesn't solve the problem. Comes with the guide to repair too
