I just brought home a copy of this and I cannot boot from the main menu, but if I start up the DC with the game it, it boots just fine. Is this a normal issue, or should I be worried?

Hmm... perhaps a bit of concern. Perhaps your DC console is a bit fickle. Just boot the game via default startup.

I hope not, she's my baby, I've had her since high school! I mean I have two back ups...but that's just not the same!

But I will do that from now on.

Don't worry too much about it. I seem to recall my dreamcast doing that with one of my copies of Project Justice (disc was mint). Eventually overtime, the issue didn't occur anymore.
