This actually looks fairly playable and the graphics are nice. It is a 2d platformer.

Yet another homebrew hit has surfaced on the Sega Dreamcast. The team behind the incredibly addictive homebrew driver Rush Rush Rally Racing have ported Hotpengu's retro-flavoured Flash platformer, Polyko's Super Jelly Bean Quest in the Sketchbook of Illusion, to the Sega Dreamcast. Best of all, the game can be downloaded for free.

If you haven't already played this homebrew mouthful, you're placed in control of an artist by the name of Polyko, who has been transported into a world of his own creations. It's up to you to collect the 31 jellybeans scattered around the world, in the hope of transporting Polyko back home.

Senile Team of Rush Rush Rally Racing fame have released a downloadable Sega Dreamcast ISO on their website, ready to be burnt onto a CD and played on the original hardware.

Looks very charming. Perhaps a little too charming? Doesn't look like anything can harm you. Are there multiple stages, or does the game just end right when you collect all 31? Either way, it still looks like a bit of fun, and who can complain for a whole $0.

I played it the other night. Nice visuals, nice music. But low replay value for me. I don't really like "collect-a-thons" and I got stuck at 29 jellybeans out of 31 and eventually gave up. I think if there had been enemies or even more than one song used then the variety could have helped me stick with it. Oh well. Props to Senile Team for giving the community another game even if it wasn't my taste.

A... another Dreamcast game is announced!?! Haha, so much for "The Dreamcast Scene is dead"!

Now I wonder if they're going to collaborate with the creators of Polyko...
