Good evening,

For is brithday, I gave to my girlfrien a Dreamcast with Sega Marine Fishing...

Unfortunately, It seems that's I have an European DC with a Japan game...
I doesn't know this difference and I am actually stuck... she can't play at all.

My dreamcast is for "PAL E" and the game "NTSC U", the logo is blue for the first, red for the second...

I tried to burn several tools to boot like Utopia or Super Game Converter...
Five CD-R later, I am still unable to launch Sega Marine Fishing.

I've forget to say that I've burnt cdi files with DiscJuggler...

But nothing happens when I launch the DC with those discs...
Well, I have the Dreamcast introduction, the menu to load a disc, read memory card, play music...

But I can't launch the game.

On my knees, I beg you to give me a solution before I begin crazy :)

Thanks !

Hi Sasa, there are plenty of tutorials on the site that should help you out but, if not, then you could do worse than buy this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blaze-Xploder ... 598f4#shId

I've found that is one of the best discs around for getting your import games working.

Try DC-X to boot the disc...

http://www.dcisozone.com/downloads/1611 ... ANGER.html

Burn it with Clone CD as mentioned in the description and comments...

You can also try to burn Utopia with Bootdreams, and if that fails with Alcohol...

Its kinda an unadvertised feature of it, but Sylverant PSO Patcher can boot many import games without issues. If you're looking for a nice legal (homebrew) way to boot imports, you can try that and see if it works with the game in question.

Just ignore the part about the game not being PSO when you put it in, and everything should "just work". You can grab it from here: http://code.google.com/p/sylverant/downloads/list

All you should have to do is grab the CDI file and burn it with Alcohol 120% or somesuch, and pop it in your Dreamcast before you try to play an import game. As long as the game doesn't use WinCE and isn't otherwise very odd, it should boot up just fine.

Its certainly better than pirating a game that you already legally have, in my opinion.

http://www.dc-swat.ru/page/download/ should find a few import boot discs in here. I've used the DC Import Enabler (DC-IE) with no problems in the past.

Thanks for the link. That site is handy.

Does DC Import Enabler allow one to force a game to boot in 60Hz in the same way that DC-X allows one to forcibly boot in 60Hz? Or does it just allow region free gaming? (I ask because I made a topic on DC-X, but am happy to use alternatives if they fix my Hz problems).
