If You Could Revive a Cancelled DC Game...

Out of all the games on the Dreamcast that were cancelled and never officially or unofficially released, which one would you pick to be completed and released? If you could pick just one game what would it be? I would have to say Agartha and that's kind of an odd choice for me considering I'm not a big survival horror fan. I just really like the concept of having choices throughout the game that determine the final outcome. Should I be good or evil? It just sounds like a very cool concept. There may have even been an online mode panned which would have been virtually unheard of at that time for a survival horror game. See here for more info on the game. Video below.

That is a really great game. Seen the video like 6 months back and it is stunning.

For me, since we already have Half-Life, my holy grail would be Worlds Scariest Police Chases. You could use the mic to call for backup.

But this looks really awesome!

Anthony, did you post that vid in dark's thread about unreleased games ? It looks as if it was quite a way into production

For me it undoubtedly it has to be Agartha. I loved D2 and it looks like Agartha would have even surpaased that game. It looked very promising.

Also, to keep the dark theme going, I would have loved to see Soul Reaver 2 and Castlevania Resurrection.

Innocent Tears and 1/4 RPG looked great - games right up my street.

I really like Quantic Dream as a company so would definitely revive Omikron 2: Exodus and Quark.

Max Payne and Take The Bullet would be nice too.

Finally, having played Colin Mcrae 2 on Ps1 I can tell you it was one of the best driving games of all time. Imagine that with improve textures, models and higher polys........... *drools*

I'm almost shedding a tear whilst writing this as it is such a shame we'll most probably never see these games on our white and wonderful DC...........although I'm not giving up all hope just yet ! lol

The Redline 2 Arena vid above ;) I don't think dark included it on his list of games that were definitely in production.

Interesting thread but I really couldn't decide... so many great games were announced or were even in development.

Armada 2: Exodus, Chakan 2: The Forever Man, Drakan, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2, Half-Life Online, The House of the Dead 3 (cel shading), Max Payne, Shrapnel: Urban Warfare 2025, Outcast, Picassio, SWAT 3: Close Quarters Battle, System Shock 2, Take the Bullet, Thief 2, Trespasser...

But if I could get the chance to pick up an almost complete BETA...
my holy, holy, holy grail would be: Streets of Rage 4 (as long as it's based on SoR 2)

Yeah Half-Life Online would be a dream of mine, but was it even started development?

@Neohound, I don't know if it was me that posted that vid, although I could have been drunk when I posted it and don't recall lol.

I've seen info on Redline 2 before, and the information was that a PC and DC release were planned. A playable tech demo for PC was created, but no work was ever started on a DC version. The video on youtube is a video of the PC tech demo which was made with the original Redline engine. Some of the comments on the youtube video say this is a video of the PC demo as well.

Hard to say. There was an interview with Gearbox in one of the US ODCM. Hmm, maybe a tech-demo?

Hey that sounds pretty neat! There aren't too many games that take advantage of the microphone.

Redline 2 Arena looks like it would have been cool. Is it like a car combat/FPS all-in-one? It would kind of be like Rage then.
