Is anyone working on a translation for Rent-A-Hero #1? It looks like an awesome game and I'd swipe up a copy pretty quick if not for the language barrier. I know there's an english Xbox version that was leaked but I'd prefer to play it on the Dreamcast.

A few people have looked at doing a Dreamcast translation over the years incuding, I believe, Captain Dreamcast. He's an obvious person to put your question to.

I also know that Neoblast was asking about this very subject a few months ago.

It's maybe better to ask in the Homebrew/Emulation section ?

I believe that the project went up, then died, went up then died again. if they could just do what they did with space channel 5 it wouldn't be such a big problem but they need to edit all the graphics and settings. i also think that there was this tank strategy game that was being translated and died halfway through sadly.

An all English XBox version leaked on to the internet a while back. I suggested using the assets of it to make a Dreamcast English version, but no one seemed to care.

What files are responsible for the translation? Replace is not a problem. What?

I actually thought of this and attempted it a while back but couldn't figure out what files the in-game dialog was contained in.
