2 issues... dead battery and VMU language...

Hi!

I just joined, and got my first Dreamcast ever a few days back (the 90's were kind of a black hole for me, but I digress...).

I have 2 issues:

1) I believe the correct battery to replace the internal battery for the Dreamcast is an ML2032. Is that correct?

2) How do I get the VMU to display stuff in English instead of Japanese? I initialized it, but it's still displaying Japanese... and my Japanese isn't so good...

Thanks for you help in advance!

Hi! Welcome to the Forums! The 90's are sort of a blur to me too :D For the internal battery you can use rechargable AA batteries: http://snesorama.us/board/showthread.php?t=34556

Thanks for the welcome and the tip!!!

Now, if I could get that darned VMU to start talking American to me, I'd be all set to really start exploring this wonderful machine.

sorry to hijack the thread, but this is ace! I might do this in both of my DCs. It's miles easier to install AAA battery holders to replace the batts rather than the ML2032.

Thanks!
