Retro Gaming Web Stores

Post by TheCoolinator »

Hi all,

I just saw an advertisement for this awesome looking 6-button wireless Dreamcast game pad.

https://stoneagegamer.com/d6-dreamcast- ... l?afmc=tbm

I remember "Stone Age Gamer" from back in the day but I am drawing a blank on other Dreamcast friendly gaming store websites.

Similar to Play-Asia, etc..

Let me know if there are any new ones out there.

Thanks

Those pads are produced by RetroFighters. Opinions are mixed all their DC pads. I personally like the wireless controller they released last year. You can see their controllers here:

To start heres a comprehensive software list. Support your favorite indie software developers. Several offer digital versions on itch.io, also.
Directory of independent Dreamcast game retailers

A few favorites of mine:

Dragoncity17 - mod kits plus instructions. The owner is responsive to blog comments. Instructions are clean, educational, and accommodating to soldering beginners.

Right Sprite - everything a UK gamer would need

Retroonyx - a solid Link Cable (I want the Serial SD adapter, I hear it's good)

Robot retro - those trendy USB-C PSUs for DC and Saturn

Another plus for the Retro Fighters pad, so much better than the original and works well on everything I've tried.
