ok, the difference between the bios is insignificant, I just need to change one check in openmenu and rewrite one function in gdmenu_loader.
I hope the owner of a console with this rare BIOS is ready to test the update.

I'm in that reddit thread and have a resistor modded VA0 with bios 1.01c.

Using the update, no change on my VA0 1.01C, GDMenu still goes back to the system menu instead of booting the game. Games boot with OpenMenu. This is not region free, it only boots NTSC-U discs.

I now have a VA1 1.01D and both GDMenu and OpenMenu boot games properly on that one.

GDEMU is a 5.15b

If I understand correctly what was written in the reddit post, it's working.

Curious if the BIOS is region free, he put the GDROM back in and it didn't run a JP title.

Now after trying to install the hardware GDEMU in both his consoles, the GDEMU no longer works (just a black screen).

He has two consoles - one with BIOS v1.01c VA0 NA (with resistor mod) & one with BIOS v1.01d VA1 NA.

He's says he will order another GDEMU.
