@Swat has just released a dreamshell rc5 update with a New loader 0.8.0 for increasing cdda compatibility :

This is great news, I'm curious about this: New completely rewritten G1 IDE driver that support ATA/ATAPI devices: HDD, CF Card, GD/CD/DVD-ROM and some converters.

If I have some ISOS in a DVD and plug an IDE DVD-ROM instead of a hard drive, will the Dreamcast be able to read the ISOs?
