What do you want to see out of a Dreamcast Mini?

If, hypothetically, for the sake of the argument, one day, a bunch of Sega executives came to your house and asked you 'ドリームキャストミニで何を見たいですか?' (What do you want to see on the Dreamcast Mini?) how would you respond? Aside from, of course, questioning why and how they found you.

Personally, I'd love to see VMU support. I'm not saying we need to buy VMUs to save our info, because then the mini would look like a huge scam, rather, I'd like to be able to transfer my VMU files to the Dreamcast Mini, in case the Mini has games I've already completed on a regular Dreamcast. Furthermore, I'd like to transfer info between game and VMU. Sonic Adventure, for example, lets you transfer Chao between the VMU and game, I'd love to be able to do that again on the DC Mini.

Basically, I want the VMU to be useful again.

As for where the VMU dock would be, I can see it being in a number of places. Behind the Mini, part of the controller, or hidden in an unlockable disc tray (similar to how the Mega Drive Mini had a small section for cartridges, but this time actually being used).

Along with VMU support, I would be pleased to see some rumblepack support. Hell, I just want to see support for all Dreamcast peripherals.

And finally, internet support. The Dreamcast was revolutionary for this, I want to see one of the most important features be preserved for the Mini.

Of course this thread doesn't have to be about just features, get creative, discuss what games you want to see, what you want to UI to look like, etc.

Some sort of user operable networking, be it software to host locally on the device itself or via Windows/external machine. But there's no way anyone will build new versions of the games or provide net code for this.

In general, I would prefer the industry to go back to a client/listen host model. Match making stinks.

Real hardware/dreamcast on a chip rather than software emulation.
Include Japanese/European only releases such as Shenmue 2, Rez, Ikaruga, Karous etc.

I'd love to see Sega go that extra mile. There is so much they could do but probably simply won't. For example, resurrecting games like Take the Bullet or Agartha. Now it might not be possible with those two cited examples but there are lots of cancelled games out there from back in the day in various stages of development and perhaps there is one or two they could get over the line. Even an English translation of something like Segagaga would be fantastic. I maintain that any content analysis of the Dreamcast on social media, YouTube across gaming channels and culture would demonstrably show that the Dreamcast as a brand is overwhelmingly positive and worth millions to the company every year in PR and publicity.

Imagine a scenario where a DC mini launches with an abandoned game or two. That would be a feature story in every gaming outlet, channel and discussion board. You couldn't buy 'organic' publicity and goodwill like that for a brand or product.

Rumble built into controller and have a keyboard that you can get separately or it's included either way it would be neat. And if they did include the keyboard THE TYPING OF THE DEAD or make it so it unlocks in the menu when you plug in the keyboard.

I want to see if they will fully realize the ideas they had with the original hardware or if they will just make a box that plays 10-20 games.

Will they have web browsing along with some form of online play?

Will it have the ability to use wireless controllers?

Will it have ability to add games via usb or hdd?

who knows....
