Greetings, is my first time playing PSO ver2 and im enjoyin it so far. I do have some questions, im actually playin it offline but i plan to play it online sometime in the future, do i have to play some specific version (patch/region) so then i can play with my character online? or do i have to create a new one? thanks

You'll just need a patch to get online. If you're playing with a real gd rom then you can burn a copy of the sylverant patcher and run that before playing the game, otherwise you can use a pre patched iso.

Either way, your current character should work fine online. The only thing worth mentioning is that if you didn't use a legit serial number/access key when creating your character (like if you got one off the internet instead of using one that came with a real copy) then a few minor server features will be locked out.

If your using a GDEmu you can find a prepatched CDI for Ver 2 on the PSOPalace website for use with the Slyverant server. Please be sure to use your own serial and access key when creating a character.
