Any broadband adapter projects on the horizon?

I know there's been some projects working toward this in the past, but anyone know if there's any work happening on this now?

Yup. The atomiswave communication cartridge to BBA adapter method. But someone has already bought up most of the cartridges in the wild and is now selling them on eBay for more money than they used to go for.

If you can source your own comm. cart for cheap, they sell kits to convert it on eBay. But if not, the prices are very similar to what bbas go for anyway so... Yea. Unfortunate.

You can search the forum for that thread for more info.

Cool, thanks for the response. Too bad though, it'd be neat if somebody was working on a homebrew option.

There's the Moband adapter, but there hasn't been any news in forever. Last I heard it wasn't abandoned yet though, so there may be hope.

There's secret channel for those com boards.
It just isn't worth sharing the secret and ruining the last of the normal prices

I bought one off of ebay for $70. Did I pay too much?

They were $20 pre-news articles about the adapter boards.
They can still be found for close-ish to that elsewhere but $70+30 for the adapter board isn't a bad price for a bba. They sell for roughly near that in japan
