Can you remember trying to run past the fountain in the beginning of Shenmue 2 ? Now that is slowdown !! It was like trying to move through a vat of treacle
I do remember that clearly now that you mention it! When i first experienced it i was expecting some super epic QTE event to occur

lol yeah thats a fair point that bit did slow down, which is odd when you think it didn't slow down on anything else, especially the last level in the massive high rise building!

I always thought that was because it streams the models of people.Most reviewers point out that the draw distance in shenmue 1 and 2 for the people is short but that isnt true.I actually tested that in shenmue 1,I let a person appear in front of me and simply watched them walk away, they didnt fade no matter how far.But if you look away from the person and look at them again they have to be reloaded so they fade in, making it seem like a draw distance problem.I dunno about shenmue 2, I never took the time to do that.
