I wasn't specifying anyone at all, I just was posting some helpful stuff for the guide.

EDIT:

Of course, Windows 98 doesn't have drivers for my ethernet card, and the edition I burned was not the Second edition, so I burned another one and the other one wasn't boot able.

So as of now I have windows 98 on a computer without the drivers for any thing, hopefully it would read usb.

Win98SE B2 has a exe on the disc that allows you to install USB support. You have to manually install it.

I said in another post that Windows ME is the only OS that natively supports USB flash drives.

Well it turns out, my modem doesn't support Windows 98, only Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP and Vista.

So I ended up putting the non boot-able disc in the drive while running Windows 98 and installed it from there, now I just have to get everything setup.

I got it all setup and working, I actually had to right the first time, but didn't think I did, so I redid everything a few times and tried different things only to attempt to go to the planetweb site to see if anything was wrong, (Sometimes my dreamcast would say my disc is damaged.). As it turns out, the planetweb website was shutdown, so all is well.

Thank you.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that my modem is a fax modem and it works great for this. So that might be able to rule out the possibility of fax modems not being compatible.

I was using Windows 98SE

I used the guide here:
http://dreamcast.onlineconsoles.com/php ... cwin98.php

I think that guide *might* possibly be able to be adapted to Windows XP, but I am not sure.

I used this modem:

Zoom 56k V.92/V.90 Modem PCI Internal Model 3030

Unfortunately, the PC-DC Server requires user input, I can't just let it run headless, on the far side of the room, 24/7 and connect whenever, like I was hoping, but it is awesome to be online with the DreamCast.

I have a zoom 3095 fax modem and I couldn't get it to work. I couldn't hear the modem noise at all though.
