I wanted to poke around looking at the files but like mentioned before with MS6 these images are unable to be opened with GD-Rom explorer. I am getting this error message here.

I seriously want to see how possible it is to mod in real cars from that game. I want the Mitsubishi GTO/3000 GT as it is one of my favorite cars.

Wait, you don't have a switch on yours to select OC mode? Mine is overclocked to 240mhz with a switch and I just leave it off and these run fine for me. I am interested in seeing how demanding games run with it. Not noticed slwodown in this game yet, but I think Dolphin Blue will be a prime candidate to test with the OC mod since people say it has some slowdown at times.
Dreamshell can work on the cd and load the GDI .

Except those two atomiswave homebrew is being loaded through a hdd in those video not a gdrom drive
The bottom one isnt an atomiswave game.

I burned the original image the guy put up of dreamshell + faster than speed just to prove it. No matter what address i use it does not boot from a cdr. At all.

Seriously stop goading people to waste their cdrs. Just like when i used metal slug 6 in dreamshell, faster than speed does not work on a cdr.
The video below is an example of using dreamshell on the cd-r.
Dreamshell can be run on cd-r, sd and ide.

calm down it could have been a custom dreamshell.
Or it could be just like megavolt explained that it will not work as a gdi on dreamshell on a cdr.

Iam not mad or anything but you have spent the last what 4 or so pages trying to get someone to burn something that would not work. I did it just so you would stop is all.

U need a drive replacement or a hdd. OR wait till some makes a optimized cdi version like the other games like samsho6 or metal slug 6.

Yeah sure sweetheart kiss me first before getting fresh.

But anyway the ganryu example is something completely different. Do you not understand that these atomiswave ports in gdi form dont load or work through dreamshell ON A CDR.

Edit: iam out after this. No point. Just jamming up the topic.

Many believed that games on ide only worked on loader 6.6 but the video shows that it did not!
if someone burned my cdi and tested it and it didn't work, ok! I needed that test.

dark wrote:Awesome! It's cool to have another game, particularly a 3d one, that appears to push the DC hardware. It gives a small glimpse into what the dreamcast could have been like if commercial games like this continued to be made into 2k4/2k5 (yeah yeah I know there were a handful of commercial DC games still coming out that late, but no big budget racing games like this).

I think the arcade version can link multiple cabinets, someone said the atomiswave lan adapter is essentially the same as the DC's BBA. Wonder if this game could be played via link cable/lan with multiple copies of the game and multiple BBA equipped dreamcasts.

Now we need the guy with the Chicago 1929 prototype to come forward and share
Yeah, I was waiting for this one haha! It seriously does push the graphics further than many other DC racing games. It has such higher graphical fidelity that it truly does give us a glimpse into what could have been done from 2001-05 or so, had developers kept creating games for the system.

About the networking, I actually studied the manual for this game about 2 weeks ago, It absolutely used the Atomiswave Communication Cartridge, AKA the BBA. It allows networking over LAN with both cabinets connected to a regular router. I did speculate that this could be played in dual mode if you have a BBA connected to another system running another instance of the game. But, maybe you could use tunneling software like Xlink Kai and play it over the internet with others who have a BBA? I am sure it could be done, but we need people to test it for us. Be it real BBA's or the Atomiswave converted Network Adapters.

You can actually read how to do it here.

If anybody wants to look into it you can read the full manual here.

Cool idea... people better act fast though. Those atomiswave network adapters are going quick since the BBA mod/conversion was revealed... I know cause I picked one up for 25 bucks and when I checked again there were zero listings.

Btw, thanks megavolt85 !!
