I've finally had time to play v2.6 and it's excellent. It now has full support for the Retrofighters D6 pad so if like me, you have memories of playing this on the Saturn back in the day, you can now relive them using a modern d-pad. What a fantastic port.

totally agreed

so I found something *picky* about the gameplay (comparison is with the original psx-ntsc-j version)

shockwave is much damaging (you are guarantee to crash), the CPU crafts are somehow slower / easier to overtake *but* more weapon aggressive

for example, in the beloved track SILVERSTREAM , winning by cruising the longer mid-right path is totally doable now
