Update: The CDI works with DreamShell now so there's no need to use the GDI. You can just grab the latest CDI from the site. The texture pack I'm sure doesn't change so you can just keep that on the SD card and you should be good to go by just downloading the latest CDIs when they become available.

Very nice! Thanks for all the Dreamshell testing. I just hope the game runs as well from the serial port as it does natively. As it still seemed like you were experiencing more lag (at certain times) than the rest of us Dreamcast users.pcwzrd13 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 2:41 pm Update: The CDI works with DreamShell now so there's no need to use the GDI. It seemed perfectly smooth to me aside from occasional freezes at points. I run games via IDE, not the serial port, so read speed wouldn't be an issue.

Re: ClassiCube : Supports Online Play [ALPHA BUILD]
Great news for Modem/DreamPi players that want to play Classicube. There is a new version of Classicube to download and I was able to connect with a modem first try with no issues. However with the game being played with a modem a few options need to be made. (Expect the game to freeze a couple times while chaging the settings) In the options menu in the graphics setting you need to change the FPS to 30max and the view distance 128. Also let everything load in first, you have to go slow with it or the game might freeze. The game might load up slowly when you join the server and even load from a weird spot. Let it all load in and when entering a teleport. It should take about 10-20 seconds or longer to completely load in. There are still bugs that need to be fix like the jumping bug. When you tap A on the controller you jump all the way into the air. Luckily the teleports suck you in so the jumping bug does not happing while being sucked in. I was able to play my mini game (Mazerace) with no issue except the jumping bug. Also the game might crash on you and ask you to reconnect. I did that and was able to get back into the action. I hope some people are able to try out Classicube on Dreamcast for the first time

I've been following this for a while and it's awesome to see the development. Once I get my DreamPi issues figured out, I'll definitely join.
