I'm just saying, they proved it to you, you side stepped it so you would still look like you were right.

Nowhere in my posts did I say.it failed. I said that I could not remember any title besides FF XI that made use of it. And when Mulberry posted a list of HDD PS2 titles,. I pointed out that a large amount of consumers that brought those titles didn't own a Hard Drive or buy one for those games.

No, you didn't say that you couldn't rememeber! You said and I quote
Plus it was only used for FF XI. The only PS2 game that made use of an HDD.
-I said you were wrong (In THIS respect!)
-You said I never mentioned other titles that supported PS2 HDD (because appearantly you assumed that the pack-in FF XI was the only game that made use of it!)
-stu was kind enough to give you an nice list of titles that did make use of the HDD.
-Thus, you were proven wrong.
-Its that simple.

During 2004-2005, mostly everyone I knew owned a PS2. The most common accessories for it were: a Multi controller deck, DVD remote & two memory cards. Not one of them owned a hard drive. I also hung out at Gamecrazy, I saw one person buy FF XI. I also talked to the dealers about sales, and they would tell me all the time that "Nobody buys the PS2 Hard Drive, its the worse selling accessory." And they would tell me "People think the HDD is inferior to the Xbox hard drive since its not built in".

I also saw figures. Only 1.5% of PS2 owners purchased or owned a hard drive. They felt the memory cards were cheaper and easier to use. 80% owned at least 2 & used the DVD kit. 40% owned a Multi deck.

Oh. Well, I talk to a lot of people here and they all say "MrSega doesn't know what he's talking about." If what people you know say is fact... well, I guess what people I know say is fact too.

Especially when they instigate without posting any. Or bother checking them.

My statement about N64 Expansion Pak & Saturn 4MB carts being backup data for the consoles can easily be googled & can be proven fact.

Also, why the hell are we discussing PS2? I thought we were talking about DC Zip and N64 Expansion Pak.

I don't know, we were all just seeing how far down the rabbit hole goes, I think. It goes pretty far.

Because you foolishly put the DC zip drive against a PS2 memory card when it should have been compared with the PS2 HDD as both of these devices share a lot more in common (add-on and both connect to the expansion bay of their respective untis). The expansion pak discussion only came as another one of your many sudden crutch conversation changes after you were proven wrong by Comrade that the N64 hardware did not have internal memory but was that of actual game cartridges that provided a save feature. Hope that refreshes your memory.

I am not totally sure, but I found this :

"The Zip drive also includes a front-mounted USB port, which would have allowed the connection of all kinds of new peripherals. This was to help promote the DC from a console to a home entertainment / information system with the release of other accessories (Which were also never released)."

Would be cool to have this, so I can d/l nba 2k2 roster updates (dci file) on my laptop...then put on usb stick, put usb stick in dc zip drive usb port, upload dci file to vmu and play a 2011 roster on my nba 2k2 game on my Sega Sports Black dc ! = )

I remember seeing a photo if that in the Fall TGS report in EGM #124 November 1999.

In fact, I still have that old issue.
