Interesting...

Using GDEMU, I tried both versions in VGA mode, and using "Cable Detect" mode on DCDigital HW2 (HDMI converted to component into my BVM). The latter is basically identical to composite/s-video, except with a digital signal.

I managed to get the NO SAVE CDI to work but I've found using the Xbox Series X controller via the Blue Retro Wireless Dongle, that when I use the left right axis on the left mouse, it seems to toggle and get stuck, so if I move the stick left it will just keep going, I have to hit right a few times to stop the movement, likewise for the right direction. I tried disconnecting the controller and resetting and tried playing with the mouse settings in the game menu but it seems to get stuck everytime, regardless of the settings I choose (mouse toggle, sensitivity etc) Has anyone else had an issue with the left stick mouse mapping?

EDIT = gone back and read the OP, it mentions some extra steps for the 360 controller but not sure if this is something I need to do on my xbox series x controller or not, however I will tinker with it later today, but just thought I'd see if anyone else has come across this issue with a controller connected via the blueretro. Its PROBABLY just my settings or setup, but I couldn't fix it by tinkering with the mouse settings in the game menu upon first attempt.

I tried burning the middle one to disc (shown in attached) but it won't read/load... the "No Save" one works fine. Is the image meant to work on disc for the version with saving functionality?

I haven't tried it myself but to my understanding the middle image will look to see if you have a SD card adapter in serial port. It needs the serial port SD card to save cuz the saves are too big for vmu. If you don't have serial port reader with sd card the game won't run thus why Ivan made a no save CDI.

Ivan states in first post saving to IDE and SD meaning Dreamshell. So you need Dreamshell sd card adapter in serial port. He doesn't say it outright but saves are too big for vmu.

The first post simply says that saving to IDE and SD card has been added, it is not made clear to anyone who isn't already familiar, that the sd card is REQUIRED for the image to work. Hence my confusion.

Now that I know that it's required for that image to work, I can give my sd card reader a try and see if it still works. Haven't fired it up for a while tbh
