@CD AGES. Name me several USNSTC & PAL PS2 games that used the HDD because I sure as hell don't remember many PS2 owners even owning or using one. You claim I'm wrong but you don't even name any titles beside FF XI that make use of it.
I'm not claiming you're wrong. I'm flat out telling you that YOU ARE WRONG!

stu was kind enough to answer and lay down the facts for ya. (Thanks btw stu).

You know its funny because you claimed I got the date wrong when most of those games on Mulberry's list were from 2004-2006. On top of that most people that brought those titles NEVER bothered with PS2's hard drive.

And if you want to dispute me, please be civil. State reasons and facts. Don't blindly instigate.

I would like to see facts for your claim that people that had those games didn't bother with the PS2 HDD. Please and thank you.

Thats easy. Ask yourself how many PS2 owners you know or seen own the hard drive & how many of them knew it existed.

Or how often did you see it in stock at local retailers?

This is not a fact that can be substantiated. It is mere speculation.

You wanted games other than FFXI that utilized the HDD and you got 35 releases and then some. And by the way, I bought an HDD specifically for RE Outbreak, its sequel File#2 and Alpha Anthology :D

Isn't that like saying that most PS2 owners used "Playstation Online" when we know that its userbase was nowhere NEAR the level of Xbox Live's?

You said the HDD failed, didn't have any support, etc, someone showed you that it did, then you said "well… who cares though?"

I'm just saying, they proved it to you, you side stepped it so you would still look like you were right.

So your saying that you brought one late in its life when 360 was already out & PS3 was on its way?
