One thing this last update also shows, Reticon does read the posts here. This could be the first time that a discontinued system would have a new game backed by the same company that manufactured the console.
It could be history in the making.

Oh most definitely, Bob. This is a momentous moment in the Dreamcast's history and a huge thrill for all Dreamcast followers. This is the stuff Dreams are made of !! I wish Reticon all the best, hope they progress in the project, and await further news with great anticipation.

if this game is successful Sega may decide to start developing games for it again? or am I just wet dreaming again? lol
Seriously though if Tahi were to come out and be moderately successful I think it would definitely make Sega stand up and take note of the DC again

I think that's about as likely to happen as the US annexing the UK.
I know redspot games contacted Sega Europe, Big Ben Interactive, and Sega Japan to try and make some of their titles official releases with no luck. Since it's really a satellite office with little internal political pull these days, I would wonder if Sega of America even has any authority to dub something an official DC release.
San Francisco also has a C in it.

so you're saying sega has been making games for the DC all along & the whole world knows it, sega just don't know it themselves??

Bob Dobbs, i would like you to contact Reticon again and ask next:
Textures from screenshots from last their blog post look similar this demo of Maratis engine. See the demo below:
http://www.maratis3d.org/
How Reticon and Maratis engine are related?

Hmm it does look kind of similar.
If it's exactly the same stuff - looking at things optimistically, maybe they just borrowed textures and the 3D models of the castle thing to do quick and dirty tests in their own engine? How could someone have the energy or desire to pull a hoax for 3 years.
