The boot disc isn't going to allow broadband adapter support. It's just so users with other dial-up connection methods can play. Petter mentioned someone else was working on a modified version of the game with BBA support but I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening unfortunately.
Edit: Especially since i totally lucked out on that one: i've seen that a console with 1 Arcade Stick + 10 games had a BBA (visible in the photos if you looked closely) and bid about 70€ on it (BBA wasn't mentioned in the description!), prayed and when it arrived - Bam! Had a BBA

why is this? You couldn't connect two over wifi or even one using wired and one wireless?
