Nope, any time you die on a boss, your weapon and meseta stay where you dropped them. You'll only lose them permanently if you quit without going back for them.

You never know how many people are going to be on. Sometimes the games are overflowing and sometimes no one shows up. You can always just join and leave if it's a full game and someone else wants to play. Anyway, I'm online now.
