Even though its no fault of Duranik, all they have to do is come out and update us either here or on facebook and we will be happy for another month or so. I'm sure its frustrating for Duranik as well but it wouldn't be too difficult to make a post saying "hey we're having trouble with the magnetbox company because ___ " every once in a while

I just took a look at Fast Striker CD wondering what CD manufacturer NG Dev Team uses and suddenly found it. It is wrote on around lead in area a name of company that made it. It's
http://abc-roxxon.de/ So maybe RSG can use them too to produce SturmWind cds ?
Yes, frequent state updates are welcome i miss it too.

Duranik posted this on facebook earlier backing up what omnibot was saying "CD manufacturing issues are fixed, problem is a faulty production of the LE Boxes, as these are made in China everything takes very long to communicate and fix the issue"

Not sure how accurate they are, or how long it's been posted as such, but Play-Asia's shop lists Sturmwind's release as August.

I can confirm that working with china suppliers can be extremely long and difficult ! I have experienced it unfortunately !
you write clear specs for a product, and 99% of the time it comes late and faulty..
you send back the sample with clear documentation focusing on the manufacturing problem, they say OK no problem ! you wait a pair of monthes and again you get a product with a defect if not two !!
it's really frustrating, and if you don't go there to check and finger point the corrections to do, it can be a infinite process...
problem with chinese people is that they don't tell you to explain again if they don't understand what you have asked for. they always say "OK, no problem !" and at the end you get bad suprises...
If RSG ordered the LE boxes in china, don't search elsewhere why the game is so late...

fair point I guess.. still be nice for them to tell us a little more, keep us up to date, give us a firmer release date... RSG have been silent on this for a long time and I've had to pester Duranik directly for info

These assfucks at RSG crack me up. They make no mention of fully charging peoples accounts even though the game had no chance of having a concrete release window (and they still claim in their shitty FAQ that the money wasn't used to make the game LOL! Then why the fuck you take customers payments). I don't see anything on this FAQ about their increadibly infected site, which by the way after goin to just now to read the FAQ, the page simply crashed on me!!!

I think it's a fair FAQ and I think it's entirely believable that they've hit all the production delays and complications they have. It sucks for the customers who paid money over a year ago, expecting a game in a couple of months, and it also sucks for RSG's reputation now because of the long delays, but they are supposedly offering refunds via the customer service so I can't feel too indignant about that (actually as someone who has paid no money to RSG I can't really feel indignant about anything lol).
I think it was reasonable for them in 2011 to assume their previous CD manufacturer would not be in bankruptcy and that they would be able to get the game pressed on a similar schedule to their other releases. That's what caused the delay into late 2011, and then into 2012. Also, RSG isn't making the game, they are producing and marketing it, while Duranik makes the game (and unlike HuCast, NG Dev Team and Reduxgame, there is no overlap in personnel or accounts here). I think it would be incorrect, as stated in the faq, to assume that the money from the pre-orders went into the technical or conceptual development of the game, and there is no justification for it to be distributed via CDr or as a downloadable ISO or something to the people who preordered through RSG.

Couldn't agree more!! I was just laughing in disgust at the exact same parts. We know firsthand on this site that there have been issues regarding communication with Redspot and Duranik (blame goes to RSG btw) and to claim that all is going to plan other than external companies dicking them is completely ridiculous. I love what Duranik is doing, I love that they have been doing it for 15 years with little to no recognition, and I know their final product will be great but at this point RSG releasing a FAQ like that just infuriates me, especially since it is written in a very rude and childish way. And the virus that sat on their site for weeks at a time when they had absolutely no clue

true professionals.
@Dark: Don't get me wrong, some of the supposed criticism they apparently get is unfair including most of what you listed but still, to be that fucking rude throughout the majority of the FAQ is insane. I'm strongly considering pulling my pre-order but I really want money to make its way to Duranik and I want the game so after I get good and drunk I'll make an impulsive decision.
