Can I still preorder the limited edition?
I certainly hope not! I'm just holding "insert dev name here" to their word with this release is all.

@radtastic89 if you're talking about STURMWIND: yes, of course, it hasn't sold out yet.

any update on when its coming out yet? I've emailed Max and Red Spot directly but neither are answering me lately. Slightly ominous as Max previously always responded to my emails but hasn't done so for a few months, this doesn't bode well... has anyone heard anything positive lately?

I don't mind games being delayed (although I prefer for their producers not to rush into setting release dates until they are certain), and with this extra time I'm sure that any minor bugs in the game can be ironed out and packaging etc. improved on. However, Sturmwind was delayed in December due to their CD production supplier going out of business, its been 7 months. What the hell is going on?

I was actually about to preorder the LE myself. Maybe I'll wait for a more concrete release date...

just pisses me off that redspot are still taking so long, I've spoken to Max a couple times via email and he seems like a cool guy but they just seem to be messing us around now

I received this response from Duranik today finally after pestering them and Redspot games... and only after I made mention of the fact that if they don't start shipping it soon people will start to ask for their money back

-------------------------------------------------

Hi,

Sorry for the constant delays of the game. The problem are still the Boxes of the LE Version, there was an production error with the first run. As these are produced in China communication is a major issue. Last we heard from RSG is that they have now a new production slot.
Unfortunately we can not give a release date, but i would expect it not before the next 6-8 weeks.

Best regards,

Johannes / Duranik

now I'm happy I've got a response but I'm surprised that, after 6 months they are STILL using the packaging problem as an excuse, this was the reason it was delayed in December/January... I'm starting to grow concerned

At least here, they gave you some sort of estimate, however vague. I imagine that they've been put on some sort of backlog with their Chinese manufacturer, so it may be out of their hands. Though that's just speculation, of course. I only got involved with the Sturmwind scene recently, so your guess is better than mine.
