I am not tryin to tell him, rather what this topic was made for, I was recommending he try it out. He said that 4 player games are his thing and Power Stone is one fun Dreamcast game with 4 friends. Besides, you can't brush off a game without trying it at least.

Yup, you are absolutely correct, I went back and felt awfully stupid when re-reading the original post. I thought he meant he tried PS1 and didn't like it but he really meant he thought they cost too much. I edited that last post but I was too late :D

Oh, by the way, if you do decide to get Hydro Thunder, make sure it has "Hot! New!" in a green star on the manual. These are a slightly later print run. The earlier print run had a glitch that prevented saving.

Nope... this is not an issue with first print runs of Hydro. You may be mistaken this with MK Gold perhaps. I have had about 3 first print (blue disc) Hydro games and that was never an issue. What you do get with Hot New, All Stars (red disc) is a VGA compatible version that does not have to be tricked or forced into VGA (sans pcwzrd lol!).

Oh, really? Because my copy of Hydro Thunder doesn't save. I guess I just have bad luck then.

Seems that way. I mean almost all midway launch titles had problems but that notorious issue was def a problem with MK Gold among other major issues. Like I said, I've had 3 copies that were def first print runs and I never came across such a problem.

BrianC wrote:Haha well no Outtrigger is not a tactical game. And come on guys, there isn't a huge difference between Powerstone 1 and 2, if anything 2 just turns everything up a notch in a game that he probably already finds too hectic (he's a Socom fan, I can see where he is coming from) so I would give up trying to convince him :D Now I noticed you said something very very scary in your last post OP; you checked IGN for reviews. IGN is absolutely god awful when it came to the Dreamcast period. The problem being that they were absolutely inaccurate and they did not like the system. I really believe they didn't play more than the first level in some of the games I've read reviews of so please stay clear lol.
You hit it right on the money!!! Seems too frantic and too much going on for my taste.

But I have to admit, CD AGE is convicting me to try it, and I heard someone mention CD-R. Are there ways to copy ISOs to CD's now and play the game for free? Remember im new to the game, and if there is a way please private message me, I know theres alot of information on here but im someone that needs it explained first.

As far as IGN, I take it for what it is. It gave Socom 1 a 7 which is laughable. It discredited WWF Royal Rumbles gameplay which all my wrestling friends think is amazing (though it has no depth so it should have a low score). Anyways keep sending me input, I think I got Power Stone 2 in my top 5 thanks to you guys just please send me a PM reguarding the CD-R topic. Thanks!
