And there's always the option of downloading if the iso's exist. There is really no excuse anymore for the hardened Dreamcast player not to play these two classics.
i agree, well at least some what. the thing that keeps me from playing Napple is that i cannot understand Japanese. LOL can easily be completed as it is, but idk if one would be able to complete Napple Tale without it being translated? there are other Japanese exclusives that id grab up or download if it wasn't for the language barrier, Segagaga anyone? ;) :x
I would also play Napple's Tale if the language barrier was removed or at least lessened to the extent of being playable without the guesswork that is required currently.

Yeah, Segagaga is one game I've never even attempted to play even though I've had it for a while now  I think some games are best left alone until a translation is available !

I wouldn't put Napple Tale in that category though. It really is quite easy to complete using just guesswork. If I did it then anyone can

There's always the option of getting a walkthrough from Gamefaqs or somewhere ;)

My gameplay footage:

Couple others that I haven't actually played but heard they are pretty good: Omikron: the Nomad Soul and Draconus: Cult of the Wyrm.

Awesome shouts all of them, Draconus (Known as Dragons Blood in the eu) reminds me of Enclave on the original xbox, it was a very good action adventure/rpg, The Nomad Soul was an incredible concept although it was poorly executed somewhat but still a fantastic game, but the best one you mention is Ooga Booga, I absolutely adore that little game, Twitchy is my favourite character by far, his wonderful little high pitched quotes have me in stitches every time

My own personal shouts would have to be the following:

Psychic Force 2012: awesome 3d fighter from release that got slightly bashed and forgotten, this game is the nuts, the attacks each character pulls off are enormous and incredible looking

Maken X: (Possible Spoilers) One of the most unique FPS games of all time, immitated recently by something on 360 called Mind Jack or something like that. The idea is you start off as a girl wielding the sword Maken, and then basically throughout the game you can get the option to switch control to a different character, and these switches effect the story HEAVILY.

for instance one scene is on a plane and its going to crash, you are about to escape and your given the option to jack a crew member or stay as you are, if you stay as you are you are unable to pilot the escape pod and land up in asia, if you choose to take the pilot you land successfully in europe or somewhere and so it effects the missions you take and the places you can go. Truly fantastic game

Seventh Cross Evolution: insane evolution simulator game that was slammed for being too indepth and confusing but it is fascinating, you start out near enough as a single celled organism but you eventually evolve, if you keep going by killing animals and consuming materials you can evolve into some insanely powerful creatures, and you can customise your evolution by a system where you design coloured patterns. Given enough time it is incredible.

Blue Stinger: An excellent release title, a superb Resident Evil alternative that truly entertains, it is unique in that it has a currency system where you can buy equipment and weapons. Sadly it was hammered by most critics for its admittedly cheesy dialogue which was poorly voice acted but the action is awesome and the graphics are still not too bad.

Last, Frame Gride: I don't have much luck importing Japanese games what with the translation issues but this amazing title by From Software (Armored Core) is well worth the effort, the graphics are excellent and the idea is to build incredible mechs that have a medieval style and battle with oponents for supremacy... utterly fantastic game and one I hope From Software will revive in English some day.

Neohound wrote:If you liked the Tomb Raider games as well as the likes of Soul Reaver, then you should try Prince of Persia for Dreamcast. It's totally different to other titles in the franchise with more emphasis on puzzling.

It's a very pretty game too, though the animation can seem a little dated compared to other games in the series. The combat can also be a little rigid without the flowing rhythm of later games.

All in all, not the greatest game on DC but the puzzles, set-pieces and atmosphere will keep you hooked for the duration.
I picked up a copy of this on your tip, but I haven't been able to play it yet. Too busy. I think I will put it on the docket before LoL. LoL strikes me as a game that is best with the desire and investment to block out all else. I'll wait for a slow week or two.

btw, I don't remember Vanishing Point on DC. I've never tried it on any system but I've meant to. All I remember is people bitching about it being too hard.

The game deep fighter used to be an averagish game in my opinion, but with the use of a flight stick, the game does gain a hell of a lot more interest and playing power.

Vanishing Point was entertaining if you could get into it but once you've played better driving games on the DC or any other system you won't enjoy playing it again if you go back to it. The handling is just horrible on most cars, they seem to swing about like boats and it is pretty bad, but when I was in that zone, and I had the contols down I really enjoyed playing it, the challenge/obstacle mode more than the campaign.

Has anyone played San Francisco Rush 2049 lately? I think that game still holds up today, the variety of game modes is insane. I love the stunt mode and the battle mode was hilarious. Split screen battle with you and a friend, insanity and hilarity always ensued. Genius little game.
