Just found out that my modem is a dial-up one. Will the Ubuntu process work for this one too?

PCTEL 2304WT V.9x MDC Modem
According to dell (http://docs.us.dell.com/support/edocs/c ... /intro.htm), it is NOT voice capable.

Re: PC - DC Server Compatible Modem List
Can somebody tell me if this USB modem will work together with a model A NTSC Dreamcast modem of 56K.
USB modem I use: Conexant USB 56K V.92 V.90 External Dial Up Voice Fax Data Modem
The picture below is exactly how it looks!
I just wanna make sure, so I won't end up buying stuff for the volt line inducer if I don't have to. i'm not so sure I'm gonna be able to even make it if it gets there. It looks very much like the Zoom modem brourke uses, but it has it's differences, so I thought I might give it a try.
As you can see it is Conexant and voice compatible, 48kpbs upload speed, Hayes AT command set, auto mode, Linux compatible driver off of the disc that followed, detected as "ttyACM0" in Ubuntu 10.04, DGC modem, Windows compatible all the way up to Windows 7 and my own Vista 64-bit.
I also wanna point out that I've found PCI drivers and USB drivers for Agere on there as well, but I made sure to pick the one for USB and Conexant, no mistake on that part.
I haven't messed with anything in its registry, nor have I gotten anything but "NO CARRIER" while trying to connect. but that might just be my IP and DNS settings all wrong.
Any ideas?

Re: PC - DC Server Compatible Modem List
Hello. I believe that I have another modem to add to this list if it is still being updated. It's the Trendnet TFM-560X. Many of the comments here state that it is Linux compatible, and the documentation on the Trendnet website claims that it is voice capable. I plan on buying this as soon as possible, and will post back with test results. Also, it has a line, and a phone jack on the back, so this topic should be feasible with this modem. But, again, I will post back when I get a chance to buy it and test it.
