I believe that a better solution would be to correct the code of the game itself.
P.S. you will be surprised, but I don’t understand what kind of freezing in Skies of Arcadia everyone is talking about, I checked the introductory video 5 times and it never froze

Thanks for all the information guys.
After a bit more searching I found a GDEmu on AliExpress featuring v5.20.5 for the same price as the v5.15 one.
But I agree with megavolt that it would be better to fix the games instead of slowing down the read speed.
So for the games which have fixes available, such as RE, I'll just patch the game and don't enable the slow reading workaround.

Well, of course it would be better to correct the game code. Any volunteers? :lol:

Regarding SoA, that's very surprising. I tested the intro sequence before title screen on numerous GDEMUs over the years, and it froze. This was addressed in FW 5.20.0, as we know.

Are you sure this is the intro sequence before the title screen? The same sequence is used after you start a new game, the latter of which does not freeze.

Perhaps it's the version of my fw, I have 5.14.0, this is the same as 5.15.0 but compiled on an old version of the compiler.

I understand correctly, the freeze occurs at the intro before “pess start” screen?

The game freeze during intro when the grey odd animal gives us a wink.
I guess it's due to vga 60Hz patch for pal version.

I used the ntsc-u version from the dubcyti collection, next time I will try with the pal version and translation from vector
