toshiba was the main supporter of HD DVD. so imo it suggest that sega would use HD DVD instead of Blue ray? this is bunk though as toshiba already said they were done with HD DVD. they stopped selling the hardware and the format is pretty much dead. Sony's Blue Ray won!

Maybe the HD DVD is from Apple? You are right Toshiba is done with HD DVD. Or maybe its from another company? I don't know.

its called the "ringwave". It shows pictures of the console, what it looks like on the TV, different options in the system .. there is no way this faked. I think it might be "ringwave" instead of "ringendge" But I'm not sure.

As much as I want ot tell you this is legit. It's not. Those peaks leaked on the internet like a year ago. And people began hyping it up saying it was the real thing. But it just someone who is extremely good at photoshop who made that stuff. Now if they had a live demonstration or gameplay I would believe you, but its just pictures someone made. Even if they were real, Sega would have had those removed a long time ago b/c of it ruining their launch. But whoever made this had some major courage to use all those trademarks, b/c they are in serious trouble if they get caught. I just pray sega makes a console just like this. Because this has all the features that I want in my next gen console. If you look at it real hard, its just a replica of the 360, the dashboard is identical, even the buttons are the same, and the controller is a mix between the ps3 controller and 360 b/c the analog sticks are next to each other, but it also has the same triggers. Just hope sega comes to the hardware business in the next year or so. B/c thats when 360 and PS3 are supposed to start talking or launching their next gen consoles.

Now you that you pointed it out, it does look like ps3/360. You are right, that guy must have had a lot of courage to use those company trademarks .. and really good at photoshop. I wonder if he will get caught and get busted.

There will be NO Playstation 4. It's been scrapped. SCEI just can't afford to build one, the losses on PS3 are far worse then we thought.

The closet you'll get to a PS4 is PS3.5. Also Xbox 3 won't launch until 2013 not 2012.

Well if what you say Mr. Sega is true that PS4 is NOT coming out and it's going to just be a PS3.5. Then Sega can join the console wars. Because for the past like 10 years everyone said there was not enough room for a 4th console to join. But if Sony is out, then Sega has void to fill. I don't think people will fork out another $350-400 for a slight upgrade in a console. Doesn't seem worth it to me. Hopefully sega has ear to the ground and is listening to whats going on the industry and is making the appropriate moves. As I have many times, this is the best time for sega to jump back into the console.

1. Economy is turning around, places are starting to hire
2. "Sony may be out the console wars supposedly"
3. Microsoft is working on their next console, they are hiring engineers on their website
4. Nintendo said there won't be a Wii2 unless its innovative
5. Just have to watch out for Ipad, NGP, and 3DS, and apps

Sony won't be in the hardware business much longer, PS3.5 and NGP will be thier final Playstation brand machines. PS3 has sunk SCEI into $10 billion dollars in red, the bleeding continues to hurt Sony and cost them dearly, if KIDSPAD is indeed launched outside of Japan, it will crush the NGP.

A PS4 using Larrabee would have come close to ray tracing, but it would have been re
otely expensive,complicating,headache inducing and problematic to execute because the HPC(which was to use a whopping 50 L2 cores!) would have required a dual processing techique. A console powered by this would be $500. Which in this economy is impossible to sell.


Also, Nintendo's next machine was orginally going be Wii 2, but in 2010 Satoru Iwata ordered the company to go through an intenst redevelopment process of the machine, instead it will be powered with a Power 5 IBM CELL CPU simluar in design to PS3 and may use a GeForce 200 series GPU. The project I've heard is codenamed "GALAXY", both projects GALAXY and Xbox 3(also both early in thier development) will be publicly annouced at E3 2011 this year.
