Re: redspot announces sturmwind limited edition
Duranik has been VERY helpful in answering any questions that I have. They claim that Redspot is working and fine at the moment but they are working to get in touch with Redspot for me to clarify that everything is good on their end (something I'm still doubtful of). I will post my e-mail conversation here and update as necessary since I'm sure others are as worried as I am.
Being an e-mail, start at the bottom

Thank you very much for your quick response. I would advise your team to be careful when using the site as multiple people have confirmed there is in fact a virus on the site. It is possible that they have cleared the issue up recently but as of two days ago there was still a virus present and I would feel awful if it caused any problems for you or your team. Thank you very much for trying to get in contact with Redspot for me, there are a lot of Sturmwind fans who are hanging on to hope and waiting to hear from them. As it appears to the American community, their lack of response sugests something sinister and we are all very worried that we have been cheated or fooled by Redspot games. I speak for all the American Sturmwind fans when I say we are very thankful for your teams dedication to customer support during this time and we greatly anticipate the release of Sturmwind. Thank you again,

Is everything going ok with the site and the game or is there reason to be concerned?

Re: redspot announces sturmwind limited edition
Btw, the reason I am so irked by Redspot is from checking their Facebook page. They have been deleting posts left and right but in my constant checking I've seen a few people go to the FB page to say something along the lines of "WHERE THE FUCK IS MY GAME I ORDERED 4 MONTHS AGO. AND STOP DELETING MY POSTS". One guy even reported them to paypal so it appears there is some serious shit going on over there. If anyone has any pull over at the big DC fan sites we should work with them and do some investigative journalism and expose this ricockulousness.

Re: redspot announces sturmwind limited edition
just because someone reports them to paypal doesn't mean there is something serious going on, it just means one bloke got a bit irked and decided he wanted his money back. Redspot have been very open and forthcoming about the release date, the only thing they haven't handled to well is the virus on the site. ITs not like theres a crisis or something!!

Noooo, this guy hasn't been able to get a hold of them for months after ordering something. That is not good no matter how you look at it and even if Redspot was amazing in the past I wouldn't be so sure about their credibility at this point.

Re: redspot announces sturmwind limited edition
I still think people are getting a little overly-dramatic with this, if they have paid for it and aren't happy to wait for it to come out I'm sure they can just request a refund, I think people are just getting a little silly about it all, but that's just me personally. I've received word from them saying its delayed until "x" date and given reasons why and I'm happy

Re: redspot announces sturmwind limited edition
They gave you a date? My issue isn't the wait, I understand that completely, its the lack of updates, no customer service, and a virus left on the website for a month with no attempt to reach out to their customers in any way. The virus appears to be gone but there are no updates, apologies or information regarding the troubles they had. The last bit of info we got from Redspot states "Also we are arranging material for another announcement with more exact information within December". Well, December came and went with no word so maybe I'm a bit impatient because I decided to try and contact them. I have heard nothing and have been trying to get a hold of them for almost a whole month now. I don't want a refund, I want customer service and some assurance from a company that seems to be having a lot of problems, problems that could effect their ability to distribute a game at this point. My point is, they are having problems and will not comfort their customers in any way shape or form. They have e-mail, facebook, and twitter. I have not been able to contact them from any of those mediums. I find it to be disrespectful and disheartening that they can not get a message of assurance out to their customers and it leads me to believe the problems are larger than what we are seeing because this is not normal for any company no matter the size or location.

Re: redspot announces sturmwind limited edition
hold on, I wasn't implying that YOU are overreacting, just other people seem to be making a big deal out of it. I got a couple of emails from the director of redspot Max Schaarl directly which you can see in this trail if you go back a bit. I can understand some other people may have had different experiences, but they aren't exactly a "2 bob" company are they? I think things will be ok. Or at least I hope so
